The concepts of Data Exchanges, Data Brokers and related functions are becoming increasingly important in the context of AI, IoT and digitalisation as organisations seek to augment data that is available internally within the organisation with data sourced from third parties to support digitally transformed business processes. This report discusses the concept of Data Intermediaries, including Data Exchanges that contract to provide data to Data Consumers, and Data Brokers that facilitate arrangements between Data Suppliers and Data Consumers.
