Belgian telco BICS and French engineering giant Thales are working together to smooth out some of the pain points associated with eSIM technology in IoT devices. Telit to buy Thales IoT as €625 billion market beckons

French defence giant Thales has announced the sale of its mobile network-based Internet of Things (IoT) business, Cinterion, to US rival Telit. The division makes the ‘things’ in IoT such as gateways, modem cards and other modules and it supports all ‘internets’, from 5G and LTE, through NB-IoT to GPS and GLONASS.
