In April, Transforma Insights published a report ‘Public Information & Advertising Screens: Adoption of digital information screens for enriched customer experience’, which discussed in great detail how enterprises are increasingly deploying digital-out-of-home (DOOH) screens such as kiosks, billboards, and signage to offer enriched customer experience, reduce manual labour, and earn additional revenue. In this blog, after briefly describing the advantages of DOOH screens, we explain how increasing implementation of IoT devices delivers highly personalised location-based advertising.

The healthcare industry and its related fields have been through a significant shift in recent years, particularly through the application of some of the critical new emerging technologies. In a report titled ‘Digital Transformation in the Healthcare Sector’, Transforma Insights highlighted eight domains of change occurring in the healthcare industry, largely facilitated by disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) (as explained in a separate blog, ‘Digital transformation in healthcare is driven by AI and IoT’).

Transforma Insights’ recent report, 'Micromobility Vehicles: 328 million devices to support the demand for urban mobility in 2032' finds that by 2032, the total number of micromobility vehicle IoT devices will reach around 328 million and the market will grow at a CAGR of more than 50%. Greater China, North America, and Europe will be the three largest markets, and India & South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa will be the other regions experiencing significant growth. Transforma Insights’ recent report, ‘Public Alarms & Monitors: Implementing IoT to provide timely emergency aid to citizens’ reports that in 2019 there were 250,227 gun-related deaths across the world, of which, 65.9% were accounted for by six countries, namely Brazil, the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, India, and Colombia. To combat this issue, governments (especially in the US) are heavily investing in deploying gunshot detectors. Most of these acoustic sensors are installed on buildings or different types of street furniture to track the sound of gunshots and timely alert the authorities.
