Virtual Briefing – Compliant, localised and AI-ready: how MNOs and MVNOs must evolve their IoT connectivity strategies

Technological evolution, the rising importance of AI, regulatory changes and new commercial realities are all contributing to a rapidly changing IoT landscape. The provision of cellular-based IoT connectivity is entering a new phase, evolving from a model centred on global roaming and best-effort coverage to one that prioritises performance, compliance, and technological diversity. Connectivity providers need to adapt to the changing market dynamics.

On the 23rd October 2025, Transforma Insights and floLIVE will deliver a webinar exploring the ways in which MNOs and MVNOs addressing the IoT market should evolve their offerings to better reflect the market evolution, whether that be by streamlining operations, establishing new partnership models, addressing compliance challenges, delivering optimised global connectivity, or many other elements of an evolved IoT strategy.

Matt Hatton, Founding Partner of Transforma Insights, and Luigi Capobianco, SVP Head of Europe and The Middle East at floLIVE, will address topics including:

  • The opportunities presented by AI. As driver of demand for IoT originated data, as well as a mechanism for optimising the delivery of IoT connectivity. MNOs/MVNOs should also consider their role in the management and orchestration of distributed AI.
  • An increasingly complex technology landscape. Considering topics such as the arrival of SGP.32 β€˜IoT’ remote SIM provisioning, the changing middleware landscape and the arrival of the abstraction/aggregation/SPOG platform, and network technology fragmentation.
  • New and evolving regulations. As well as the perennial issue of permanent roaming, IoT deployments are increasingly subject to additional obligations, particularly driving requirements for local data management, with implications for application architecture.
  • Shifting commercial realities. Driven in part by technological and regulatory changes, there are numerous ways in which commercial models are evolving, whether it be related to eSIM profiles, new partnership models, revenue diversification, or a shift from capex to opex.
  • What should MNOs/MVNOs do to better address the market? Based on the changes outlined above, connectivity providers need to adapt to better address the opportunity. This will vary depending on whether it is an MVNO, a global MNO, or a nationally-focused MNO. The webinar will explore the optimum strategies for all types of providers.

We hope you can join us to learn more about this critical area of IoT.

The Virtual Briefing will take place on 23rd October at 07.00 Pacific / 10.00 Eastern / 15.00 UK / 16.00 Central Europe.

By registering for and/or accessing this session you agree to receiving communication from Transforma Insights and the sponsor(s) of the webinar.
